We also organize Mount Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru climbing, volunteer programs and day trips. Who we are
Francis Makala is a Kilimanjaro native, born and raised within sight of the mighty mountain. He has summited Kilimanjaro numerous times as expedition guide, and has lead safaris all over Tanzania. He also arranges volunteer postings all around Kilimanjaro, and is Chairman of the Endangered Species Conservation Foundation, a non-profit organisation.
Hennie Toerien has lived and worked in Africa, the Middle East, Europe, and North America. Kilimanjaro finally was the place that he could not leave, although he still travels whenever he can. He met Francis while house hunting in Moshi, shortly after deciding to settle for good, and they hit it off immediately

All our safaris are led by a LGBTQ+-welcoming guide. Whenever possible, we hire destination locals. And we can also connect you with the right people if you’d like to delve deeper into the local culture.
While on safaris, we use special 4 x 4 vehicles, mostly Land Cruisers. The Driver Guides are charming, experienced, knowledgeable and caring. Combined with their leadership qualities and enthusiasm for work, we will provide you with an unforgettable safari.
